How much does design help cost?

The design-service add-on is $55 AUD including GST. The final sign price is separate and is paid after you approve the mockup and add the production item to cart.

You can upload reference photos, sketches, logos, PDFs, SVG files, AI/EPS artwork, and DXF files. Each file can be up to 25MB.

Do I pay for the sign before seeing the mockup?

No. You pay the $55 design fee first. You only pay for the final metal sign after you approve the mockup and checkout with the production item.

Can I order more than one sign from the mockup?

Yes. A mockup can include one or more production items, so you can order multiples or related variants from the approved design.

Design It For Me

For customers who have the idea, logo, sketch, or reference image but want Metal Marvel to prepare the sign design.

The design-service add-on costs $55 AUD. You submit a design brief and upload any useful artwork. Our team prepares a mockup, sends an email when it is ready, and you approve it before paying for the final sign order.

When to Use It

Use Design It For Me when you do not want to build the sign in the online designer yourself, or when the artwork needs interpretation before it can become a clean laser-cut design.

It works well for business logos, house number layouts, wedding signs, property signs, gift ideas, and rough sketches that need to be converted into a finished mockup.

How the Flow Works

1. Submit the brief. Tell us the wording, intended use, style, preferred material, size, mounting, and quantity notes.
2. Upload artwork. Add photos, sketches, logos, PDFs, SVG, AI/EPS, or DXF files that help explain what you want.
3. Pay the design fee. The $55 design fee places the request into the design queue.
4. Review the mockup. We email you when the mockup is ready. You can approve it or request changes from your account.
5. Order the sign. Once approved, the production item is added to your cart. You choose quantities and complete checkout like a normal order.

What to Include in Your Brief

Exact text: include spelling, punctuation, dates, names, and any line breaks that matter.
Use case: tell us if it is for a gate, shopfront, wedding, house number, workshop, or gift.
Material preference: mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, or not sure.
Size and mounting: give approximate dimensions and whether it needs hanging holes, corner holes, or direct mounting.
Style references: upload examples or describe the look, such as rustic, clean, bold, decorative, industrial, or coastal.

Approval and Revisions

Your account shows the request status, uploaded files, mockup versions, and activity. When a mockup is ready, approve it to create cart items or send a revision note that explains what needs to change.

The final metal sign is not charged until you approve the mockup and complete checkout. If the approved design includes multiple production items, you can order the quantities you need from the cart.
